As part of the "Smart City Zurich" strategy, the City of Zurich now enables its residents to manage their taxes online. Via the new service, taxpayers can check the status of their tax obligations, calculate the estimated taxes owed, and retrieve payment information.
As part of the "Smart City Zurich" strategy, the City of Zurich has launched the online service "Manage Taxes". The new service allows approximately 300,000 citizens of Zurich to better plan and review their tax obligations.
Information around the clock
Through the online access "My Account," residents of Zurich can access the various functions of the "Manage Taxes" service anytime. The new service aims to simplify the handling of tax obligations for the citizens of Zurich on one hand, and reduce the number of annual inquiries about tax-related topics at the city's tax office on the other. Access to tax documents around the clock facilitates communication between the citizens and the tax office of the city. Additionally, the establishment of the online service is anticipated by the Zurich financial department to have a positive effect on preventing debts, especially among the city's young residents.
