Definitive switch to QR-bill as of 30.09.2022

PostFinance is replacing traditional payment slips with QR invoices and eBills to increase digitalization and efficiency in Swiss payment transactions.

Digitalization is advancing further and further. Now the red (ES) and orange (ESR) payment slips will soon be phased out. PostFinance will remove the widely used payment slips from its payments system on September 30, 2022, and replace them with QR bills and eBills. This should promote digitalization and simplify the payment process for invoicers.

Action required for invoicers

Companies still using the old payment system must timely adapt their processes and software. Therefore, if you have not yet dealt with the transition, we recommend doing it immediately. Contact your bank or your software partner without delay and prepare for the transition. QR bills and eBill are already in use today and function flawlessly, so you do not need to wait until the end of September to make the change. Once the infrastructure is adapted, the billing and payment process will become significantly more efficient.
